I hope you had a little time to browse through my selection. You can imagine that this is only part of my collection. Possible ideas for some work with the press include three destinations that are very high on the ‘must do’ lists of world travellers:
-
Iceland: from above - showing the amazing lava fields as they interact with the various types of water from the mountains/glaciers. Rainwater, glacier water, snow, rain and spring water. They provide an unique display of shapes and colours.

2. Ethiopia with the tribes - and the 1000 year old rock-hewn churches. With the
(apparently flawed) construction of the latest dam, some tribes are losing water
supplies. Illiterate tribes are ‘encouraged’ to move into reservations. Is it the
American West in the 1800s all over again? Roads are being improved and the stage
will be set for a huge influx of tourists. Lucky for me, I saw it this autumn still almost
untouched.

Ethiopia: my feeling is that my photographs of two beautiful young Suri girls making up with naturally available chalk, has potential for an article. The daily press, magazines including airline magazines etc, as well as the cosmetic industry could benefit. This is the way our predecessors started this business 7000 years ago. Isn’t make up topical at all times?

Images of good reflections are always admired. I use left/right symmetry to create an extra dimension in an image. It’s a way to create the ‘aha’ effect. Advertisers are concerned to make sure that people notice their pictures. This is a way to stand out from the crowd.
I'm happy to provide more details and images on any topic.

5. Favourites

Photographs taken eye level to eye level of the big cats create a lot of excitement. Safari vehicles typically allow you to photograph animals by resting the camera on the lower level of the window frame. Our safari vehicle has its doors removed. We photograph from the much lower level of the vehicle chassis (lying down).

6. Potential article on flamingos
over salt lake in Kenya

7. An encounter between cheetahs and a new-born impala
